How SyndicationPro Learned to Innovate and Adapt During the Pandemic

Tj Lokboj of SyndicationPro tells us how to raise more capital in less time with its real estate syndication software.
First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?
Tj Lokboj: My family and I are doing well. We experienced tragic events due to Covid but held on to our faith and stayed positive.
Tell us about you, your career, how you founded SyndicationPro.
Tj Lokboj: My career experience has been in technology sales, real estate, and entrepreneurship. I started out being an angel investor in SyndicationPro and had the opportunity to advise the executive team until I finally joined as a partner. I am grateful to have the opportunity to serve real estate syndicators and fund managers. It is an industry that I love and believe in.
How does your company innovate?
Tj Lokboj: We have a unique ability to innovate within our industry. Being real estate sponsors ourselves, we are able to see market trends and then innovate to operationalize them into software that serves our customers and pushes our industry forward.
How does the coronavirus pandemic affect your business finances?
Tj Lokboj: We have become leaner with less overhead, having moved to a 100% remote workforce.
Did you have to make difficult choices regarding human resources, and what are the lessons learned?
Tj Lokboj: Our organization’s most difficult choice was to postpone all or face-to-face meetups and company on sites. We learned that building strong company culture and people is an invaluable part of running a successful business.
How did your customer relationship management evolve? Do you use any specific tools to be efficient?
Tj Lokboj: Our customer relationship management has been at the forefront. We had to learn to adapt and change to this new environment. We changed our company motto to be #sponsorobsessed which helped everyone in our company to rally around giving the best support and service to our customers, especially during these tough times. There have been countless stories of our employees going over and beyond in showing genuine love and service to our customers. One incident is when a member of our sales team heard of a customer who was admitted to the hospital due to Covid. This was reported to our leadership team, and we were able to support this customer’s family with dinner services.
Did you benefit from any government grants, and did that help keep your business afloat?
Tj Lokboj: We did not apply to benefit from any government grants.
Your final thoughts?
Tj Lokboj: This pandemic challenged our company in so many ways, and I am grateful for our team and their will to win and adapt.
