Tushar Bhagat Uffizio

We talked to Tushar Bhagat of Uffizio about its GPS tracking software and this is what he said about it.

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?

Tushar Bhagat: We all are fine. Thanks for asking. The initial days of the lockdowns were quite difficult to cope with as no one had ever imagined that a situation like this would come, where one has to stay indoors for months and manage both the organization and family from home. But as of now, the situation is getting somewhat controlled, and with adopting the New Normalcy, we have started working from our offices following all the norms and guidelines given by our Indian Government.

Tell us about you, your career, how you founded Uffizio?

Tushar Bhagat: I’m the Managing Director for Uffizio India Software Consultants Pvt. Ltd. I started my journey in the IT field in 1999. In this role, I lead the company’s technical development, overseeing a team of software developers and sales professionals, and managing the annual spend.

Our most exciting work to date was creating a top-class product of the Vehicle Tracking System. Not only did we have fun developing that application, but also we found it rewarding to see the results.

Before joining Uffizio, I worked for Energos Technologies and was lucky enough to work with amazing clients such as L&T, Tata Power, Shoppers Stop, etc.

I’m truly passionate about my work and always eager to connect with other developers. While I enjoy all aspects of my job, I think my favorite stage of a project is working with the client or business unit leader to understand their business objectives. As we go through that collaborative process, the ideas start to flow, and that’s always the fun part.

How does Uffizio innovate?

Tushar Bhagat: We here at Uffizio always believe in innovating new technologies and creating products that can be helpful to society, environment, and human beings. Whereas when we talk about this pandemic, we had many challenges and managing work in this scenario was a little difficult. But In this difficult situation, we created two major products.

1. A GPS tracking software which is used as a Personal tracker and proximity solution for a safer work environment during COVID-19 in this our software with the help of sensors devices would send an alert to persons who do not follow the social distancing between them.

2. Our second product is a GPS tracking badge that we have made to keep track of people you were in quarantine period. This product is used to track their location and alert the authorized person if they remove the badge or go out of their geofence area.

We are proud of our employees that even in such difficult times they developed the software which can be helpful to all.

How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?

Tushar Bhagat: Not only Uffizio but the whole fleet management industry was at a standstill when the nationwide lockdown started in different parts of the world. Like any other organization, it even impacted our business, but this impact was quite minimal to us. We had started working from home. But managing remote working for employees was difficult as no one of us was ready to handle sudden changes which have come upon. But Thanks to our employees and management team, they handle all the stuff very well during the pandemic.

Whereas now how we are coping? We have already started working from our offices now following all the preventative steps and guidelines provided by our government.

Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned?

Tushar Bhagat: Yes, we had to make some difficult choices as being a leading telematics company. The majority of our workforce was dependent on the resources available in our offices. Our biggest fear was that we have never adopted the culture of working from home in the past. In the beginning, it was difficult for us to manage and schedule tasks for our employees. But the most surprising fact was that within the few days of lockdown our employees adopted the work culture from home very well.

Lesson We Learned: We learned that our employees have the character, attitude, and expertise to overcome almost any challenges. Not only that we noticed that our employees were more productive while working from home, but they also enhanced their skills and provided quality work to our multiple GPS tracking software we have developed. During the lockdown period, we have completed ample of our pending projects and fully customized our fleet management software dashboard, other than that we designed and developed more accurate reports for our fuel monitoring module.

How do you deal with stress and anxiety?

Tushar Bhagat: I believe in positivity and am a meditation guy. And whereas when I talk about stress. Yes, handling such a big team and organization can be sometimes stressful, but it’s just workload stress that I usually overcome with mediation and yoga.

Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?

Tushar Bhagat: The telematics industry is very large, and it has been growing rapidly. Day to day, the automobile industry has been adopting new technologies and innovations. The only strategy to stay in the game is to provide unmatched value to our clients and maximize their fleet business.

Your final thoughts?

Tushar Bhagat: COVID-19 has changed the lifestyle and working structure of every industry in the world. It changed the way businesses work and approach customer engagement. Being a SaaS company, we not only focus on our software but the services we offer to our clients. We make sure that we are helping our clients and our employees in this hardest time of the pandemic. In the end, I would like to say that we all are humans and each one of them is trying their best to cope up with this global pandemic and trying to adopt the New Normalcy that nature has given us.

Stay safe! And secure your vehicle with Trakzee if you still haven’t.
