Vikas Singh Grovention

We talked to Vikas Singh of Grovention about how they digitize businesses and market them to drive leads and sales with owner’s mentality and here is what he said about it.

First of all, how are you and your team doing in these COVID-19 times?

Vikas Singh: I am fine, thank you. We are actually doing great and have grown during the COVID time. Our company, Grovention, has acquired new clients and delivered growth to existing ones. Hired new team members, created new policies, and everything else that a growing company can do.

Tell us about you, your career, how you founded Grovention.

Vikas Singh: I started as a consultant after completing my technical education. After working on multiple successful solutions for SMEs and enterprises, I moved out of India to learn the international working standards. Later in 2018, we formed Grovention with a vision to deliver world-class digital services to clients.

How does Grovention innovate?

Vikas Singh: We are a new-age company that values client’s growth above all. We do not offer specific services from the digital umbrella but work on a 360-degree approach to deliver sales and lead clients. Be it a startup or an established business, we know how to educate, engage, and covert the right users.

How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?

Vikas Singh: COVID has changed how digital agencies manage operations and client deliveries to stay in the league. We started work from home before the lockdown was announced and switched to the right tools like MS Teams and other cloud-based applications to keep up with the deliveries.

Yes, a few clients shuffled their budgets and paused findings for a short time, but we continued to deliver work, building their trust and growth. As the situation started improving, they all came up stronger. We also added a few new clients and helped them digitize their business and later drive sales.

Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned?

Vikas Singh: No, we have announced that we will not be making any layoffs due to COVID while promoting work from home. And it worked wonders for us; the productivity of our team increased by 23%.

What specific tools, software, and management skills are you using to navigate this crisis?

Vikas Singh: We were already using Figma, Invision, Google drive, Miro, etc. We added MS Teams, Github, and some more to our toolset for better work management during the pandemic.

Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?

Vikas Singh: I do not see many digital growth agencies in India. Globally there are a few that offers the same, but we do not consider them as competitors. We plan to do better every day and deliver better services to clients.

Your final thoughts?

Vikas Singh: The pandemic has taught many things to this competitive world. Be it having enough funds for running a business or being ready for unexpected challenges. And only those will survive who are adaptive and can work as per the changing situations. In the future world, only changes are constant.
