Vinay Celluloid Productions’ Vinay Mamidala: An Engineer Who Wants to Become a Filmmaker

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?
Vinay Mamidala: Myself and My Family is doing good. We are safe and healthy too. We are taking all the necessary precautions and mostly trying to stay at home. Also, I wish you all to stay healthy and happy in this pandemic.
Tell us about you, your career, how you founded Vinay Celluloid Productions.
Vinay Mamidala: I’m a B-Tech graduate from JNIT affiliated to JNTUH University. After my graduation, I worked for a couple of Digital Marketing Companies in Hyderabad. Later, I started a startup related to Digital Marketing and Video Production under the name of Vinay Celluloid Productions.
I’m interested in developing my own content which is unique and stands out of the competitors. Also, I have plans to get into the Film Industry; as a Filmmaker, I do my best within a small budget.
How does Vinay Celluloid Productions innovate?
Vinay Mamidala: As we are into Video Production and VFX, we always strive to develop Quality and engaging videos. Most small businesses can’t afford offline marketing as they are very costly and don’t fit into their business structure. So, we come up with a unique strategy and promote businesses online for a very low cost. We also develop our own websites, rank them in search engines, and promote our client products on our blogs. It is not that easy to rank a website in the search engine. There is a lot of effort and creativity involved. In general, there are some 200+ ranking factors to occupy first place in the search engine.
How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?
Vinay Mamidala: Initially, it was very tough to handle this situation as we have a limited team, and the team is not willing to work. Some of the staff left the company, and a few took a break, so it was very tough to meet our deadlines. Now, we managed to make them work from home and do the best within available resources. But it was challenging and a completely new experience for beginners like me, who want to make their mark.
Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned?
Vinay Mamidala: I was unique at my content or the script while making animated videos. What I learned is, we can’t make a quality video or product without a proper script. So, it’s better to do thorough research and work on your script before starting your video.
How do you deal with stress and anxiety, how do you project yourself and Vinay Celluloid Productions in the future?
Vinay Mamidala: As moving out is limited in this pandemic, we only step out for some emergency meetings and training. Mostly, we are managing to interact with zoom calls. So, we undergo so much stress and pressure. Just interacting with video calls and trying to do meditation.
We are planning to expand our business into different locations after this pandemic. We also have some exciting and interesting projects to get started, and now we are doing some background research for it.
Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?
Vinay Mamidala: All the small businesses that are into website development and video production are our competitors. We try to do our best by delivering quality and unique content for our audience.
Your final thoughts?
Vinay Mamidala: Thanks a lot for giving me this opportunity to share my experience. I wish you all to be safe and healthy. All the best!
