We talked to Vincent Keunen of Andaman7 about health data, and he had the following to say:-
First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?
Vincent Keunen: Good. Some of us have had Covid, but not too serious.
How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?
Vincent Keunen: In one way, patients are more aware of their health, so they need Andaman7 more than ever – and it’s a free download, without any use of their data.
Invited patients can contribute to medical research. And clinical trials have been postponed or canceled because of Covid (= negative), but on the other hand, some researchers moved to virtual trials, which is a service that Andaman7 offers.
How do you deal with stress and anxiety?
Vincent Keunen: Meditation, Especially cardiac coherence.
Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?
Vincent Keunen: Go Balto, acquired by Oracle and Science37
Our technology is significantly more advanced:
- We don’t store data in the cloud.
- We have a full PHR for patients.
- Our intermediation platform works in a peer-to-peer manner.
Your final thoughts?
All patients should take control of their health!
