We talked to William Rufino about how Convertpack offers the tools that businesses need to easily increase their conversion rate and here is what he said about it.
First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?
William Rufino: We’re doing well. None of my close relatives contracted Covid-19.
Tell us about you, your career, how you founded Convertpack.
William Rufino: I’ve been monetizing content over the internet for the last 10 years. I used to do SEO for blogs and monetize with Google AdSense, and eventually, we started selling products as an affiliate.
Convertpack was born because of our needs for custom tools to use on our websites to convert more visitors into clients. Hugo and I decided that the tools we had been using internally could be developed into a product that other people would love to use.
How does Convertpack innovate?
William Rufino: We offer a pack of affordable tools for small business to convert their visitors into clients, leads, etc.
How does the coronavirus pandemic affect your business finances?
William Rufino: Since we’re entirely remote from day 1, Covid didn’t have a direct impact on our team, but it affected some of our clients who had to cancel their plan and/or change their subscription.
Did you have to make difficult choices regarding human resources, and what are the lessons learned?
William Rufino: We didn’t have to make difficult choices because of our remote nature.
How did your customer relationship management evolve? Do you use any specific tools to be efficient?
William Rufino: We use GIST as our CRM tool, and it works pretty well. We also use Zoom and Whatsapp to keep in touch with our clients.
Did you benefit from any government grants, and did that help keep your business afloat?
William Rufino: We didn’t.

William Rufino: COVID-19 didn’t really affect us directly, but had a big impact on our personal lives and our clients’ lives.
