An issue that has become very common these days is most people tend to have a lot of clutter in their camera roll. Let’s face it, we are accustomed to take tons of photos and videos, but we don’t take the time to organize them efficiently. The downside is that at one point, it can be hard to find a photo because you don’t know where it is and how to reach it. That’s why we have a few tips for organizing photos efficiently!

Delete duplicates

One of the first things you want to do is to remove duplicates. The problem is that the more duplicates you have, the harder it can be to organize photos. You want to enter the Photos app, and then go through manually and remove duplicates. Choose the photos to delete and that will help remove the clutter. The iPhone will keep the deleted images for 30 days in the Recently Deleted album, and then they will be fully deleted. So if you deleted stuff by mistake, it should be there to get it back.

Use tags for photos

A good idea is to try and add tags to images. That makes organizing photos much easier because you can easily search by tag. Yes, tagging is one of those things that can provide a simple and efficient way to remove clutter and organize photos in a powerful manner. It’s simple stuff like this that can make a huge difference.

Set up your photos to upload to the cloud

iCloud syncing is very helpful because you can easily add all your albums to iCloud/. You can do that to Settings/User/iCloud/Photos and here you want to see if syncing is enabled. The app will show what albums are synced, so you can avoid wasting any time.

Create albums for every important moment/event

Once you have albums in place, that helps a lot because you will have them organized without any hassle. You can choose to have separate albums related to your family, travels, work and so on. Yes, it takes a bit to organize these, and the experience can be very good.

Set album priorities

If you create lots of albums often, a good thing to do is to set priorities. You can re-arrange the album order and thus add the most popular ones at the top. Just press Edit in the upper right corner in My Albums, and you will be good to go.

Another thing you can do when it comes to photo organization is to schedule certain tasks via reminders. On a weekly basis you want to delete photos that are duplicates or you don’t need. Every month, try to categorize photos and create albums. And o course, you can add your own twist to it. At the end of the day, you will have a much easier time handling and managing everything. Yes, it certainly has its own pros and cons, but in the end the potential can be exceptional!
