Dr. Marc Hafkin Uses the Power of Positivity to Transform His Coaching Clients

It is well-known that mindset can make the difference between success and failure. Our innate beliefs, attitudes, and biases deeply influence how we look at the world and how we react to events in our lives. By working towards a more optimistic mindset, you can actually improve your health, decrease your stress level, and increase your resilience to life’s challenges.
With these significant benefits at stake, more and more people and professionals are hiring coaches to steer them in the right direction and put them on the road to the next level of success. Dr. Marc Hafkin, who spent 45 years as a successful Psychotherapist in private practice, transitioned to working as a Certified Master Professional Coach after he watched his clients transform through Positive Psychology and empowerment exercises.
Rather than spend the remainder of his career diagnosing mental disorders, Dr. Hafkin works with individuals, couples, families, and veterans to identify their strengths and build upon them. He has also found himself contracted as a Coach for businesses seeking to empower their senior staff, using his approach of teaching skills that will encourage growth, while facing personal challenges head-on.
Who is Dr. Marc Hafkin?
As a young man, Dr. Marc Hafkin spent seven years on active duty in the U.S. Army, where he was in charge of several Psychiatric wards and later the outpatient clinic of a major Psychiatric Center in Frankfurt Germany. He left the military in order to pursue further education in 1973.
Since 1975, Dr. Hafkin has worked in private practice but has continued his education throughout his career. Since becoming a Certified Master Professional Coach, Dr. Hafkin has consulted with leaders of major organizations such as Booze, Allen & Hamilton, Goldman Sachs, Miter, Deloitte, and others, Dr. Hafkin has helped executives to maximize their leadership potential and expertise, and become more effective in their professional careers and peer relationships. He also consults with numerous Washington Embassies in the area of cultural influences on relationships, and coaches returning veterans and military families on transitions related to deployment and re-entry to civilian life.
How Does Dr. Marc Hafkin Enact Positive Change in His Clients?
Working with Dr. Hafkin means that you will be asked pertinent questions, reflect on past experiences, identify personal blocks to moving forward, and create strategies to overcome obstacles.
Dr. Hafkin’s client work focuses on identifying strengths and building upon them. He teaches individuals skill-building and moving ahead with productive strategies. He helps families and groups to recognize the stages of “reconnecting” and create “bridges” from old narratives to newer, more effective, narratives going forward. He also helps people to hone in on a goal and establish the steps needed to achieve that goal, while maintaining a “can-do” attitude.
Dr. Hafkin takes great pride in his work. He finds deep personal satisfaction in watching clients grow and reach their full potential, and is humbled by being able to help individuals gain skills and feel empowered.
