Ellacor Micro Coring Treatment: The New Innovative Way To Get Rid Of Wrinkles Without Surgery

There are several non-surgical techniques marketed as facelift alternatives. While some can tighten and smooth the skin without using a scalpel, none have been able to remove the skin without surgery – until now. Dr. Adam J. Rubinstein MD, FACS, a board-certified cosmetic surgeon known for his concerns to his patients safety and knowledge, announces that his clinic is one of the first to provide Ellacor Micro-Coring skincare treatment. The first and only FDA-approved micro-coring device for removing wrinkles.
Because we all know that new and trendy treatments come and go, you might be wondering if this one lives up to the hype. The quick answer is that it does in many ways, however, it is not a replacement for a facelift. To learn everything there is to know about Ellacor and micro-coring stick around as we answer all your questions.
What is the Ellacor micro coring treatment?
Although some may consider micro-coring to be the next best thing to a facelift, it is not. This is because it is not surgery. Instead, micro-coring, also known as fractional micro-coring, is a novel type of cosmetic procedure that includes the excisional removal of tiny columns of skin from a larger area without the use of cutting, heat radiation, or scarring.
Ellacor distinguishes itself with its innovative approach to skin regeneration. Unlike most new skincare treatments, Ellacor’s micro coring technology brilliance lies in its accuracy. Ellacor uses hollow needles smaller than 0.5mm in diameter to carefully remove skin micro-cores. This innovative procedure drastically improves the look of moderate/severe wrinkles, particularly in the mid to lower facial areas, while leaving no visible scars.
The removal of these tiny skin cores, known as fractional tissue extraction, activates the skin’s natural healing response. The combination of loose skin removal and the body’s natural healing reaction to this controlled damage results in smoother and tighter skin.
Micro-coring is not the same as microneedling. Microneedling does not entail the removal of skin during treatment. Ellacor needles are hollow and attached to a suctioning mechanism, allowing the device to extract many cores of tissue on a micro-scale.
“Ellacor is reshaping the future of aesthetic treatments,” says Dr. Rubinstein. “By sidestepping the pitfalls of traditional surgical interventions, Ellacor offers a transformative experience, enabling patients to attain remarkable results with minimal invasiveness.”
How do they perform the treatment?
The technique begins with numbing the treatment region to reduce pain or discomfort throughout the operation. The Ellacor device is then moved around the treatment region, producing micro-cores along the skin in a grid pattern. Simultaneously, a vacuum mechanism in the device creates suction that removes the core via the hollow needle. The coring and removal procedure is incredibly quick; a 10mm square of skin may be treated in less than three seconds.
Ellacor, like fractional skin resurfacing, leaves regions of unbroken skin between excised cores, causing the skin to regenerate quickly. The micro-cores begin to shut before the patient leaves the office, eliminating the need for bandages.
Ellacor treatments are extremely adjustable; doctors may adjust the depth and intensity of each treatment to meet the specific needs of each patient.
What areas can Ellacor treat?
Ellacor is now FDA-approved to treat the mid and lower face, including the cheeks, around the mouth, and under the chin.
Other places, like the chest, maybe treated but are deemed off-label. Individual results may differ.
How long will the treatment take?
While treatment time varies based on the location of treatment, most Ellacor treatments are done in 30 minutes or less.
Can Ellacor cause pain?
Most patients will not feel any discomfort throughout treatment since numbing agents are used. Some individuals, however, may suffer pain or discomfort along the treatment region.
The majority of participants in an Ellacor clinical study experienced post-procedure discomfort as a “2” on a 0-10 pain scale.
Do you need multiple treatments?
While most patients see a visible improvement in their skin after a single treatment session, numerous sessions may be required to attain the desired outcomes. Most patients will need a series of 2-3 therapy sessions spaced around 30 days apart.
Because Ellacor benefits are dependent on the skin’s natural healing process, many patients will observe continuous improvement in their skin six months after their final treatment session.
Are the results permanent?
While Ellacor outcomes are long-lasting, they are not permanent because the surgery does not stop the skin’s natural aging process.
Patients may extend the life of their Ellacor results by maintaining a healthy skin care regimen and exercising safe sun protection, which includes applying a high-SPF sunscreen every day. Patients can also have Ellacor therapy regularly to maintain their outcomes.
Who is a good perfect candidate for the treatment?
Ellacor works well for any patient over the age of 22 who is in generally excellent condition and wishes to address face aging signs such as wrinkles and laxity. Ellacor is recommended for Fitzpatrick skin types I-IV. People with darker skin tones may be more susceptible to undesirable pigmentation concerns.
Pregnant or breastfeeding women or people who have a history of scarring or hyperpigmentation or have a medical condition that prevents adequate wound healing are not ideal candidates for the surgery. Individuals who have received dermal fillers in the treatment region in the last 6 months may also be ineligible.
The outcome will be determined by the particular state of each patient’s skin. Ellacor can be very beneficial to patients who have good skin elasticity and little extra skin.
Ellacor is not meant to tighten underlying muscles or offer considerable skin tightening, thus patients with low skin elasticity or huge quantities of extra skin may benefit more from a surgical surgery like a facelift or neck lift.
Dr. Rubinstein’s Ellacor Micro-Coring approach offers a potential alternative for people looking for a skin-rejuvenation treatment that combines efficiency, minimal invasiveness, and no visible scars.
