Google’s Pixel 6 & Pixel 6 Pro Review

Google launched its first smartphone, Pixel, in 2016, intending to give consumers a phone that is helpful and smarter. The tech giant focuses on artificial intelligence (AI) because that is the future of innovation. As a result, its mobile technology platform has given its pixel users a taste of Machine learning (ML) and innovative AI. So, Google smartphones have been getting bigger and better.
The brand’s new phones, Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro have promising exciting features originating from Google’s made Tensor system-on-a-chip and brand-new camera system. That means these Made by Google smartphones are through-and-through controlled by it and completely closed.
Actually, there is a lot you can learn from the new phones, and be assured the 2021 phone lineup though coming at a premium price, is already exciting. Also, Google has officially revealed some vital information to give you a much clearer picture of its sixth-generation Pixel flagship.

Google is yet to confirm the actual battery sizes, charging speeds, and methods. However, Pixel’s battery target is the entire day.
Tensor Chipset
Previously Google used the term Tensor when talking about its machine learning hardware like Tensor Processing Unit, which is part of Pixel 4 serial Neutral Core and Google Cloud. Neural Core was dropped in Pixel 5, and a mid-range 5G capable chipset was used.
In Pixel 6, AI and ML are the major component of the SoC which gives greater processing of speech and images. So Pixel 6 series has real-time translation and is capable of applying HDR effects to every frame of video. For instance, it can record 4K 30fps video in HDR while still applying HDRNet to every single frame. It can also reduce blur in photos and shoot images at higher speeds. Thus Tensor will take its camera prowess a notch higher than what the competitors have to offer.
Lastly, the Pixel 6 series has improved the Titan M2 chip for security.
Design
The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will employ a two-tone design. The camera bump covering the entire back width is black and will separate the two colors on the backside.
Pixel 6 Pro has more blank space above the camera bar. It will also have a light polished aluminum frame, while Pixel 6 will have a matte aluminum finish. Two phones have an industrial design with square corners.
On the front side, the two phones have a centered hole-punch for selfie camera in order to minimize the bezels. It has a conventional earpiece, unlike Pixel 5, which had an under-display earpiece speaker. Further, the Pixel 6 series have in-display fingerprint scanners, while the 5 series had rear-mounted one.
Google has left a lot of details for later. For instance, there has been no mention of a watch nor folding phone. Still, the two Pixel smartphones have a bold and unique design that distinguishes them from other Android on the market.
Release Date
Based on previous releases, Google is likely to bring the Pixel 6 phones to market in October. It had done so every year since 2016 except in 2020, where Pixel 5 was announced on Sept 30. But in case the chip shortage stemming from the Covid-19 pandemic and the delta variant affects Google plans, then the phone will hit the market in November or later.
Price
Pixel 6 lineup is a premium-priced product. Which means it will be north of $1,000.
