It’s your final year, you are near the end of your degree, and it’s time to write your thesis. Technology students are always so thoughtful and capable of thinking innovative but still, they got stuck while finding the suitable technology research topic for their final year.

I know choosing a Technology dissertation topic is quite hard, and if you are doing it for the first time, then it’s harder because of the many options in your mind that constantly confuse you. I would suggest you don’t take a risk as it’s your final year and your whole year’s hard work is based on it.

You can concern with the professionals or experts who will help you in choosing your topic. many websites provide Dissertation proposal writing help you can also check on them.

Well, if you are a “Do It yourself person” then I have aligned up a list of steps through which you will be able to choose the technology dissertation topic by yourself.

Learn basic and process

We start with the fundamentals which are understanding the requirement of institutions. Like which research process your department or university is preferring. this is a common mistake that most students do so always check for the handouts and read the instructions carefully which is provided by your professor. Next code out that is actually what your department or university required in any dissertation or research paper.

If you don’t know the basics about the research process and research method then you need to learn what kind of methodologies and analysis methods are used to collect the data and then evaluate the data.

Read previous students’ dissertation

After understanding the basics and research process next step is to review all the previous work of your university students. you need to look at the previous dissertation and thesis that your seniors have delivered.

In this way, you will get the proper idea that what type of technology topics got good grades and what type of work the previous students have already done. After that shortlist the topics that ideally you are interested in. This step will benefit you in many ways.

Review the academic literature

As you have learned the basics, process, and the previous work of the students. Now the next step is the ideation process, where you have to look at your modules that you understand well and shortlist those in which you are more interested with a strong academic grip.

Next is to understand the current state of literature for your chosen interesting areas. Click on the prime opportunities which are still unanswered and grab the keywords.

After that, you will find out particular keywords, while searching them on google scholar you will get multiple types of research on it. I will suggest you to skimmed read out 5 to 6 previous generals from which you will identify the gaps.

List down the potential dissertation topic.

In the end, you will find out about multiple technology topics and choose the one in which you are most interested.

Final thoughts

I hope this guide will help you throughout your selection dissertation topic process.
