TikTok is a video-sharing platform, and it became highly popular in the year 2020-21. The platform saw a surge in users, and by February 2021, there were 1 billion users on TikTok. TikTok video creators can shoot short videos of 15 to 60 seconds long. They can also edit them, add music in the background, add filters and other effects. The videos generally found on the platform can range from lip-syncing to comedy and even vlogs.

In this article, we will mention a few ways you can utilize the fan base on TikTok for marketing purposes.

1. Create a User-generated Content Campaign

Starting a user-generated content campaign is a brilliant way to view the way in which the viewers on the platform interact with the brand to gain knowledge about the products or services they promoted on the platform. When these users interact with the brand to know the features of the product and services, they also start a never-ending chain of User-generated campaigns in which the other users from their friend list start taking an interest in knowing more about the brand. Thus it increases brand awareness amongst the people.

2. Create Hype for the Product launch

Creating a Hype for the product launch is one of the best ways to grab the attention of the public. Hyping a product launch creates buzz around society, and people start talking about the product or service you will launch. Moreover, it also brings the product on their radar, and they keep track of the news concerned with the product launch.

Thus creating a hype about the product promotes the product automatically. Moreover, it also increases brand awareness and the possibility to generate higher revenues.

For example- When Reliance Jio was about to launch, the company announced they would provide free 4G services to the customers for a year. This step by the company hyped the launch. Many people switched to Reliance JIO, thus providing a big customer base.

3. Display the personality of your brand.

When a company promotes a product, several times its focus is centered on the goals they desire to achieve. In that case, the company is not able to show the fun sides of their brand. Thus many companies use TikTok to show the public their light-hearted side. For instance, the Washington Post uses TikTok to show the reporters’ personalities behind the cameras. Thus creating a humorous environment generates a different type of connection with the new viewers.

4. Produce Educational Content

Creating educational content is a great way to answer the concerns of the users who are confused about the product. Since TikTok offers you the feature to create short videos, a company can use it to its advantage. All the company needs to do is create a video showing how the users can use the product in everyday life. Many cosmetic brands have utilized TikTok in a similar way. Also, you can search for guest posting sites to boost SERP ranking for your brand website.
