Reading “Great jacket, fits true to size” is one type of trust, reading “Fast delivery, helpful support” is another. The first is a product-related one. The second has to do with the store. Both affect the sale but they are from different sources, different locations, and different tools are often used.

The split is the crux of the issue of site review vs product review. Some platforms support both. Others do one presentation well, and let another one go to the second app. Let’s break down how to differentiate the two and the 9 platforms you should consider using in 2026. They aren’t necessarily in a particular order – the best one depends on your store.

Store Stars vs Product Stars: 9 Best Review Platforms for 2026

1. Yotpo Reviews

Ideal for: Brands looking for a single vendor for Yotpo site and product reviews, loyalty and referrals.

Yotpo is designed to work with all parties in one single flow. Its 2-in-1 review requests encourage consumers who have left a product review to also leave a site review immediately following their product review, which means that you can receive site reviews without sending a reduced number of product requests. Your ratio is set using a slider in the admin, and Yotpo suggests at least 30% site reviews to get to Google’s quota quicker.

If you are considering Yotpo site review vs product review, the important information will be found on Google’s side:

  • Two feeds: Per Yotpo’s blog, it makes site reviews available to Google as a daily feed for Seller Ratings, and a verified product feed for Google Shopping.
  • Retention rule: Google obliges to send all eligible site reviews permanently, meaning that Yotpo sends previously collected site reviews even after plan changes or when you cancel your plan.
  • The timing rule invalidates site reviews which are received more than 90 days after the order.
  • Product-to-site conversion: You can save a good product review to be a site review as well in moderation. When you do this regularly, that will sever its connection to the source product, and Yotpo recommends avoiding giving coupons for reviews.

In addition to reviews, the Yotpo homepage says that they provide AI summaries of common themes, reviews in all languages, and 30K+ brands on the platform.

2. Trustpilot

Ideal for: Reputation of public companies and Google visible store reviews.

The most popular public review site for company reviews is Trustpilot. It states that for reputation, its public, platform independent profile stands out among others in the year 2026. Another roundup points out that it can be used in conjunction with an entirely different product review tool on your store pages for a clean implementation of the site review vs product review split.

What it offers via its Shopify app:

  • Invitations for both service and product reviews, automated.
  • Review widgets for product pages, checkout and homepage that you can drag and drop.Drag and Drop widgets for product page, checkout and homepage.
  • Google Seller Ratings: Google Review Partner – Google will review pages for product reviews to provide product review snippets
  • 50 review invitations per month (higher number per month on paid plans)

Beware: Critical reviews are present on the Shopify listing complaining about support and contract terms; one of the reviewers had a grievance against a 12-month contract. These are personal experiences; do check with both length of contract and support before signing.

3. Reviews.io

Ideal for: Mid-market stores looking for company and product reviews in one place.

According to one 2026 roundup, Reviews.io brings company reviews as well as product reviews, and it’s described as a “like-for-like replacement for Trustpilot’s company reviews. It’s listed on Shopify as:

  • Email and SMS requests automated, photo/video collection.
  • Google Seller Ratings, rich snippets and Google Shopping integration are just a few of the features and benefits of Google Shopping integration.
  • Show options such as carousels, galleries, Q & A, product grouping.
  • In addition to Shopify Flow integration, the app also links to Klaviyo and Gorgias. The app also integrates with Shopify Flow and Klaviyo and Gorgias.

A free trial and then usage-based pricing (may be separate from the Shopify invoice).

4. Feefo

Ideal for: Brands seeking a verified-buyer, closed-loop solution.

Feefo is said to be the closest direct competitor to Reviews.io. With over 6,500 brands supported, it’s only verified customers who are allowed to write reviews and it’s a Google Premier Partner. In its Shopify listing, it actually has to mention product & service reviews, Google Seller connections, Google Shopping connections, and over 10 ways to show reviews. Software Advice highlights the following features – a public reviews page, syndication, Q&A, sentiment analysis, SMS and NPS.

A BigCommerce listing refers to a free tier that allows for 50 feedback requests per month, but this is an old listing; check the current one. Feefo is for brands that place the highest priority on verification and wish to host a public reviews page.

5. Shopper Approved

Ideal for: Paid search Google Seller Rating.

Shopper Approved is focused right on Seller Ratings. This one 2026 roundup rates it as the best for that use. It refers to verified-purchased, invited-only reviews that function on any website, with combined pricing, per site. I couldn’t find a better reference for the range on that roundup which is $119 to $382 per month. Shopper Approved claims that it can gather up to 10 times more reviews—an assertion that is difficult to test and is subject to debate.

It is a viable option whenever the primary concern is the stars in the advertisements and if you are not bound to store platforms.

6. Okendo

Ideal for: Shopify brands who want their shopify reviews, UGC, and loyalty in one package.

Okendo is created just for Shopify and also features loyalty, referrals, studies, and quizzes. It is priced according to volume of orders. It synchronises both seller and product ratings with Google Shopping according to one 2026 review, and also features a function to send 5-star reviewers to a Google review request. It has a photo and video review feature, as well as an integration with Klaviyo.

According to Okendo, over 18,000 Shopify brands are on it. This is its own testimony!

Beware: Syndication to retailers is something that’s disjointed. According to one roundup, Okendo is best suited for adding reviews to retailer product pages; a user on GetApp indicates it’s not a possibility to syndicate with key retailers and that manual options would be more expensive.

7. Judge.me

Ideal for: Stores with budget constraints who desire solid products.

Judge.me stands out as a value name. Roundups are a free plan with Judge.me branding and a flat, $15/month plan that offers SEO rich snippets, Google Shopping integration, cross-shop syndication, and additional display options. A comparison lists 16 widgets, coupons, referrals, and social sharing, and an integration with Klaviyo on the $15 plan. It is Shopify-first yet likewise supports WooCommerce and BigCommerce merchants.

Beware: One Reviews.io reviewer claims that they moved away from Judge.me because they required Seller Ratings. That’s one merchant’s experience, check if Judge.me’s plans at the moment support site reviews and Seller Ratings.

8. Google Business Profile

Ideal for: An additional layer of public fame over your platform.

Google Business Profile is featured on a list of Trustpilot alternatives for 2026. It gathers feedback from people that have visited your business and one source points out that reviewers must have a Google account, thus limiting the amount of bogged reviews. It’s not a product review tool, nor does it provide the review requests, widgets and feeds of the dedicated platforms listed above. Don’t take its reviews for granted that they will be counted towards Google Seller Ratings, and review the latest rules of Google. It’s designed to complement, not replace your brand reputation system.

9. Bazaarvoice

Ideal for: Big brands that have retail syndication requirements.

Bazaarvoice is a long-standing enterprise reviews provider that is featured in some of the 2026 comparisons, including Yotpo’s list of competitors. According to a user on GetApp, Bazaarvoice is at the helm of the retailer syndication. I could not find much information on its site review features, so verify for each type of review what it offers before adding it to a final shortlist.

Why Yotpo Leads

Yotpo excels because it provides solutions to both sides of the review dilemma in one platform. Often it’s two apps; brands that need Google stars in their ads and ones that require social proof on product pages. Combining Yotpo site and product reviews,  is all done in the same flow, meaning no stitching together of dashboards or duplicate customer records to reconcile.

The other benefit is much greater. All reviews, loyalty, referrals and AI visibility are on the same platform, so there’s only one vendor, one “customer profile,” and one set of signals driving all channels. This is important for Google compliance too, as incentives, volume thresholds and moderation are all under one roof rather than subjected to different rules on different tools.

Yotpo also safeguards the quality of reviews in its design. Product reviews remain at the product page. The site reviews are located near checkout or at the bottom of the site.

Conclusion

Consumers ask themselves two questions: first, is this product good and second, can I trust this store? The best setups will address both. Knowing the difference between site review and product review can assist you in selecting the appropriate tool and also prevent paying for a tool that you will not utilize.

Yotpo Site and product reviews are worth a demo for one tool that does it all. If you’re interested in the reputation of a public company, then check out Trustpilot or Reviews.io. Spend a bit less and consider Judge.me. If you’re an ad star for Google, check out Shopper Approved. Check current prices and Google requirements before you go ahead and commit, and begin building both types of reviews right away – they will take time to meet thresholds.
