One of the UK’s leading manufacturers of high-performance hydraulic tools and cutters has named Authorised Rep Compliance Ltd (ARC) as its official EU representative. By joining forces with ARC, Allspeeds will be able to continue using the CE marking and the UKCA mark on all products sold to customers in the EU.

The CE mark provides confirmation that the manufacturer/importer has ensured the product in question complies with all applicable EEC health, safety and environmental protection standards; In order for a product to be sold in the EU, it must feature the CE mark.

Following the exit of the United Kingdom from the European Union, British companies looking to sell products in the EU must appoint an authorised representative to action these essential CE marks.

Operating out of Dublin ARC will conduct all the necessary checks to verify that the products at Allspeeds intend to sell in the EU conform, applicable standards and legislation. ARC will also be responsible for ensuring the relevant technical documentation has been compiled by Allspeeds, along with the fulfillment of traceability obligations.

If required, usage instructions and safety guidelines for the products will need to be provided in an appropriate language the end-user can understand with ease.  Products from Allspeeds sold in the EU will feature the ARC name and the company’s Dublin office address, either directly on the product itself or on its accompanying packaging/paperwork.

“We are currently updating our product nameplates to include both CE and UKCA marking, reflecting our international customer base,” said Allspeeds managing director, Keith Elliot.

“Working with Authorised Rep Compliance Ltd will ensure an unbroken and smooth transition of goods and services to our EU customers.”

UKCA and CE markings

Allspeeds has completed the UKCA registration process for its Millingford, Blake Hydram, Kopp Variator, Webtool and Tangye product lines. Going forwards, all products manufactured for sale in England, Scotland and Wales by Allspeeds will feature dual-marked nameplates, allowing for the inclusion of UKCA and the EU’s CE marking where necessary.
