KERHEA, la start-up vendéenne qui transforme le déchet végétal en ressource réalise une levée de fonds sur la plateforme WEDOGOOD

KERHEA, this Vendée start-up which takes up the challenge of replacing single-use plastic waste with a range of French products 100% of plant origin, is raising funds on the WEDOGOOD platform
Founded in April 2019, the KERHEA company markets bio-based products made entirely from plants (biodegradable polymers, cane pulp) to counter the use of single-use plastic waste at trade fairs, festivals and other public or private organizations. Resolutely anchored in a principle of circular economy, KERHEA offers a global project: from eco-design to manufacturing to the collection and recycling of its products.
To accelerate its development, expand its range of products and develop its industrial capacity, KERHEA is looking for a minimum of 80,000 euros and opens its capital to professional and private investors through a crowdfunding campaign on WEDOGOOD , the leading French platform for financing citizen projects in positive impact.
The KLO gourd: 100% plant-based
KERHEA is currently finalizing the design of a bottle made from PLA * or PHA ** plant material. The product will be available within a few weeks. Without bisphenol A, this gourd offers a wooden stopper (customizable by engraving) and a finely braided linen strap. The manufacture of this 75 cl gourd is 100% French. Designed by Eric Berthes ( Planet Design ), it is light, biodegradable and reusable at will.
The KO bottle: 100% plant-based
Every year, 100 million tonnes of plastic end up in nature. Faced with this observation, Lucien Kerisit and Ariane Diehly, co-founders of KERHEA, worked on the design and manufacture of a bottle made from certified non-GMO PLA material. The bottle called KO is the first finalized product of all the ranges offered by the start-up. Available in 50 cl, it is refillable with water thanks to their partner of FONTEKO water fountains . The real added value of this product is that it is collectable and recyclable via their KLEAN.i collection point. As much plastic waste reduced at the source during events.
KUP & KO Tableware: a range of articles in vegetable fiber and PLA
To complete its range, KERHEA offers biodegradable tableware made from cane pulp or PLA: plates, cups, cutlery (with refillable dispenser), burger boxes, sauce pots, verrines, lunch boxes, salad bowls … a solution eco-responsible for event organizers, hoteliers and restaurateurs. This range is suitable for all types of fast food.
KERHEA: an economic model 100% circular economy
At a time when major brands are recycling their first traditional plastic bottles (PET), KERHEA presents an innovative ecological strategy based on the circular economy.
** PHA: biodegradable polymer produced by bacterial fermentation (wood, oil). At the end of its life cycle, the PHA product can be recycled or, in certain cases, composted at home (“home compost”).
