Buying a car can be a pretty hectic process. Alternatively, you could also lease a car, but that also puts a strain on the finances. What if you wanted to own a car that won’t be registered in your name? What if you wanted to own a car by paying rent monthly, like a subscription? What if you could get a subscription to own a car monthly just like Netflix? Well, worry no more, for a new company makes this entire process a reality. A new company called GO is a car subscription startup that will reimage the way people buy cars.

Founded in 2020 by Michael Beauchamp, the company has its headquarters in Suburban Square in Ardmore. It is a car subscription startup that will allow users to subscribe to a monthly fee that will allow them to use a car from their fleet. As they are increasing their fleet, more and more cars will be made available. Before you decide which car to own and subscribe to, do check their reviews out on top car-selling websites. This company is said to benefit people who want to daily drive their cars. Right now, they are functioning primarily in the Greater Philadelphia region. The other market where they are functional is New Jersey, Delaware, and Florida.

Michael Beauchamp is the man with the brains behind the entire operation and he claims that the company is created to “transform and simplify” the car buying experience. A car subscription is completely different and reimaged from the way we think about purchasing cars. A car subscription is not about buying or leasing a car. Think of subscribing to Netflix. You pay a monthly fee and you can access their content. You pay again next month and you can access the content again. This is what subscribing is, and that is what GO is offering you, but not with movies or shows, rather cars.

Beauchamp claims that it is cheaper than owning and maintaining a car. Subscribing to a car service can be more budget-friendly than leasing or buying a car. All you have to do is go to their website and order your car. After that, the car will be delivered to your home as soon as possible and usually, no delivery charge is incurred; provided that you order it in an available market. Customers can now also save up to 25% per month. The company proudly claims that they charge no down payment. You only need to pay a fixed amount of subscription fee for that particular car for each month. Delivery is also free most of the time, as mentioned.

If you go to their site right now, you will be asked to select a vehicle after entering your ZIP code. A list of available cars will be displayed and you may order whichever car you prefer. Right now, they are offering 25% off each month, meaning that you can order a car with a lesser subscription fee each month. The 2022 Nissan Pathfinder can be ordered for $429 per month. The 2022 Nissan Altima can be ordered for $299 per month. The 2022 Nissan Rogue and the 2022 Nissan Sentra will be available for $359 per month and $229 per month respectively. Of course, the prices will go up once the 25% off sale ends.

You can simply head over to their website, enter your ZIP code, choose a car you want, color combination, and the miles you will be driving it for each month. Then you are required to verify your driver’s license and the company will themselves handle your insurance and all the other formalities. The car will be delivered to your door as soon as possible, with no extra charge. Of course, this will only work if you are in an area where their market can deliver your car to.

After you get the car, you can keep it for the next three years. After a 3-year gap, if you wish, you can get another vehicle, or continue with the same vehicle. If for some reason, if you want to change your car before three years, you need to a pay restocking fee of $450 and also a $1,500 vehicle activation payment. However, if you are a first-time customer, this vehicle activation fee is generally waived off. Also, the fee can be waived off after every three years.

Now, coming to the part where you order the car, there are a few caveats. Of course, your credit score will be checked. If your credit score isn’t at least 700, you won’t be able to avail of their services. Also, you must have a clean driving record and you must be at least 25 years or older. Also, when you apply for insurance, the additional pricing will be displayed, as that depends on individuality. The taxes and insurance will be tacked on to the monthly payment and after all that, the customer may be able to order the vehicle.

Another caveat is regarding the free delivery of vehicles. It will only be feasible if you are within 50 miles of the Philadelphia Airport. But if you live further away, you may be charged with an additional delivery free.

The company is pretty ambitious and so is Beauchamp, the founder, and CEO. As they keep increasing their fleet, the service will gain more traction and they can also expand into other markets, all over the country. While the idea is certainly bright, not many people are aware of it yet. The idea of being able to own a car without actually owning it, just by paying a monthly subscription fee is pretty good. You wouldn’t have to pay huge interest while leasing and going car hunting, one dealership at a time. Instead, you can just head over to their site, choose your car, and wait for it to arrive. For the next three years, it is yours to keep.

As the company expands, they can look into different options, such as letting subscribers keep the car for a longer period, or offering exciting deals on certain automakers. The possibilities are endless and the demand will certainly increase with time.
