As we come to the end of the year, it is time to think about next steps for the new year. Look around. Is your business stagnating? Have you even noticed?

Oftentimes, business owners are bogged down in the nitty gritty of running a business and all the stress that comes with it. The saying “if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it” comes to mind. You may not notice your business is stagnating as long as business is good. If you haven’t yet, go ahead and do a thorough analysis of your operations. Make time to do a proper audit of your marketing strategy.

Should you find that there is, indeed, a need to breathe new life into your business, don’t panic. There are several things you can do to freshen up your business and increase sales. Marketing is the ideal way to refresh your business. Supercharge your marketing strategy and you will attract new customers and wow current clients.

Refresh Your Photos

If you do not have a lot of money in the budget, but you still want to liven your content, start with a small investment like photos. High end, glossy, beautiful photographs will create a new look for your products or services.

In keeping with popular trends, you can also use these photographs to showcase behind the scenes work. Customers and prospects enjoy these glimpses “behind the curtain” of how your business operates or your products come together. Being authentic and sharing the process will be relatable to people and provide value that help consumers feel invested.

Create BTS Video Clips

Consumers are detached from the process of creation. They only see the end product. In that regard, BTS (behind the scenes) videos are an effective marketing tool.

Video clips are a perfect way to add value to your business and relate to consumers. Put together a reel of you creating, designing, or building a product in your business. If your focus is on a service, take viewers along with you during the planning process. Show clients a “day in the life” and document your story.

Redesign Your Proffered Products or Services

Refresh the old products or services you supply. This is an inexpensive way to refresh your business and increase sales. Redesign your current offerings and make sure to label the product or service as such. Doing so adds a sense of excitement and increases demand for the older products.

Also, consider offering coupons or discounts to incentivize customers to purchase. Use a sense of FOMO (fear of missing out) to add another layer of value to your product or service.

Optimize Your Social Media Presence

Social media is the perfect place to share behind the scenes content, detailed photos, and storytelling videos. You probably have accounts on various platforms that you use to promote your business. Set aside time every day to create content. Upload or schedule the content so that you have a steady stream of images, videos, and reels available.

Social media allows you to connect with your audience in a deeper way. It adds to the storytelling experience and provides a more personal way to speak to your consumers.

Utilize Digital Catalogs

A great way to tie it all together is to utilize digital catalogs or flipbooks. How do digital catalogs fit in? They offer product highlights and information; they are interactive, engaging, and immersive; they create experiences. The possibilities with a flipbook are endless. With a smooth, page turning effect, flipbooks mirror physical catalogs but offer an immersive experience. Add GIF images, video clips, and audio clips to create a visual and auditory sensation.

Connect your ecommerce site to your digital catalog so your customers can shop, browse, and check out from the catalog. Online catalogs are effective tools to market to your buyers and showcase your products or services. They are easy to create, cost-effective to distribute, and are available to share worldwide.

Get Started

Following the tips above will help you target a new niche, expand your consumer base, and raise brand awareness. Breathing new life into your business, refreshing your current offerings, and utilizing different tools, such as digital catalogs, will increase your sales without breaking the budget.
