There are dozens of different diets which can do this for you. But probably one of the best is something known as the Ketogenic diet. This is a type of diet where you only eat protein and fat while cutting all carbs out.

In this way, it’s similar to the Atkins and other low carb diets. The main difference is that the carbohydrates you cut out are replaced with fat. On this diet, you can eat basically any food which is rich in fat and protein.

This can include things such as:

  • Seafood including muscles, oysters, octopus and clams, salmon and sardines.
  • Low carb vegetables like kale, broccoli and cauliflower.
  • Any type of cheese.
  • Avocados.
  • Eggs.
  • Coconut oil.
  • Plain Greek yoghurt and cottage cheese.
  • Olive oil.
  • Nuts and seeds like almonds, brazil nuts, cashews and macadamia nuts.
  • Berries like blueberries.
  • Butter and cream.
  • Olives.

The reason why this works is simple.

Carbs are the biggest reason why we gain weight and get fat around our abdomen. So when you stop eating carbs the fat just melts away. What this diet also does is put your body into a state called ketosis. When your body is in ketosis it starts burning fat at an accelerated state.

Not only that, it’s been proven that this type of dieting can have many health benefits. More than 20 studies have shown it can protect against diabetes, cancer, and even Alzheimer’s disease.

Ketogenic dieting has many pros and cons for the entrepreneur.

The biggest benefit is that it helps you lose weight very quickly. This is useful because the unfortunate truth is that we’re judged by our appearance. People who are thin are treated completely different to those who are overweight. And if you’re trying to get ahead in the businesses world then it can be helpful to lose weight.

This diet will also help to boost your health. This is useful because as an entrepreneur you can’t afford to get sick, as this will interfere with the running of your business.

There are also cons to this diet.

Carbs are our major source of energy. And by going on this diet you are likely to feel quite weak until you get used to it. This can be a drawback if you have a lot to do in your business.

Some people refer to this as, “Keto Flu” where you feel hunger, nausea, irritation and fatigue when starting this diet. It can also be very hard to keep yourself on the Ketogenic diet. This is mostly because it requires enormous amounts of self-discipline to stay off carbs.

All in all, this is a good diet for entrepreneurs.

A big part of being successful in business is personal development. You have to develop yourself every day like an athlete in order to be the best that you can. This is a great diet for people who are looking to do that.
