Cairo, Egypt – 12 February 2026: Ai Everything Middle East & Africa (MEA) Egypt 2026 concluded today after two days of packed halls and prolific international participation, marking a landmark debut for the region’s most comprehensive platform for artificial intelligence, spanning infrastructure, enterprise deployment, investment, and startups.

A profound sense of AI’s strategic importance and untapped economic potential prevailed, as global AI enterprises, startups, acclaimed AI experts, investors and policymakers met in Cairo to discuss and debate what an intelligence-driven future looks like, and how policy, capital and global cooperation can align to accelerate the technology’s trajectory.

His Excellency Eng. Raafat Hindy, Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Egypt, highlighted Egypt’s commitment to building a strong and globally competitive AI ecosystem, while supporting the event’s launch in Cairo. Commenting on the launch, he shared: “Hosting Ai Everything MEA Egypt 2026 demonstrates Egypt’s commitment to advancing AI innovation, talent, and investment in the region. Among the startups drawing attention, UK-based Emotii presented a first-ever ‘emotionally intelligent communication’ platform. The agentic AI system is designed to decode emotional nuance in real-time multilingual communication – useful for meetings, live events and global team communications – positioning AI as an essential tool that ensures words are not just translated but understood.

Customer service and sales, often the first touchpoint between businesses and consumers, are being re-engineered by Amira AI. Its MIRA platform replaces multiple sales and service tools with a single AI system that can not only manage customer interactions but also train human agents through AI simulations. Deployed by over 150 enterprises including Audi, DP World, and L’Oreal, the platform highlights how AI-first architectures deliver real gains in customer satisfaction and cost efficiency.

In agriculture, Datalentech showcased how AI can influence food production long before products reach the market. Its decision engine, Paula, predicts key variables in poultry farming—such as feed efficiency, mortality and pricing—with more than 90% accuracy weeks ahead of time. For producers, that turns uncertainty into planning, and data into economic foresight.

Egyptian startup IRRI Vision presented AI-powered retinal screening designed to catch time-critical eye conditions such as Retinopathy of Prematurity, where delayed diagnosis can lead to irreversible blindness. By integrating directly into clinical workflows and portable imaging devices, the system brings AI diagnostics to the forefront of healthcare.

One of the most widely attended conference sessions saw Ahmed El-Ghandour – celebrity content creator and one of the Arab world’s most-watched science channels – cut through the noise surrounding artificial intelligence in a keynote focused on clarity over hype. Speaking on the topic of ‘Simplifying AI for the Arab World’, El-Ghandour shared, “AI is no longer emerging technology – it is already reshaping governments, markets and societies. The challenge is to explain this transformation with clarity and objectivity, without exaggeration or fear-driven narratives.”

He added that the goal should be empowerment rather than intimidation, “AI is creating unprecedented challenges and opportunities for graduates and professionals alike. Our responsibility is to help people understand it; not overwhelm them with complexity.

From Banks to Unicorns: AI Built for Fintech Scale and Inclusion

Across financial services, global experts highlighted how AI is shifting from industry transformation to intelligence-led operations.

Ahmed Abdelaal, Group CEO of Mashreq, described banking’s transition into an industry where speed of adaptation matters more than raw computing power. He noted, “Banking is evolving into an intelligence industry. It is no longer about having the biggest or fastest AI system – it is about having the agility to adapt and deploy AI in ways that create value.”

That theme was echoed by Ahmed Yehia, CEO of Fintech & Digital Lifestyle at e&, who pointed to AI’s role in simplifying financial services for mass adoption. “Customers today expect a seamless, intuitive experience. That’s why we consistently invest in AI – because real strength lies in delivering solutions that people can easily adopt and trust.”

A high-impact panel featuring leaders from OPay and MNT-Halan, two of Africa’s most valuable fintech unicorns, examined why AI systems built under real-world constraints – uneven connectivity, regulatory complexity and price sensitivity – are outperforming many Silicon Valley models. Dotun Adekunle, COO/CTO, OPay Nigeria and Ahmed Mansour, Head of Data & Analytics, MNT-Halan, emphasized how necessity-driven innovation has accelerated AI adoption in financial inclusion and digital payments across underserved populations.

From the investment perspective, Gerald Ko, Venture Senior Investment Manager, Gobi Partners, Asia’s influential venture firm with US$ 1.6Bn AUM, offered a candid assessment on how AI funding dynamics are shifting. The session shed light on new funding routes – from multi-currency structures to offshore liquidity hubs – while backing startups with clearer revenue models and market scalability.

With its first edition drawing strong international participation and industry momentum, Ai Everything Middle East & Africa Egypt will return to Cairo from 1–2 June 2027, deepening focus on AI-led growth, enterprise adoption and startup scale across the region and beyond.
