Tell us a few words about the founders and how the idea came
Card Secure Platform® (CSP) is the brainchild of Tara Chand, the founder and CEO of Sales Transaction Systems LLC; an inventor with a passion for innovation across a wide array of industries. Tara Chand focuses on finding solutions for the root cause of major problems facing an industry – and engineers a complete and optimal solution for that major problem.
The major industry is payment transactions. The major problem that he has solved in CSP is security and convenience in payment transactions, across both online and brick & mortar; for merchants eliminating entirely the risk of data breaches and security audits; for card-holders, using a universal common QR interface, eliminating risk of password compromise, as there is no password in the CSP.
CSP is a new mobile payment platform that is a paradigm shift on the current payment mechanisms and yet operates seamlessly within the existing payment infrastructure, for the benefit of card-holders and merchants. CSP is backed by a portfolio of US and International patents.
Your products and services
Card Secure Platform® (CSP) eliminates use of a bankcard for payment transaction where the mobile does not receive or store a bankcard data and thus does not transfer to the merchant the bankcard data and yet enables a seamless payment using the existing payment infrastructure. CSP benefits in multiple ways, both the cardholder, the merchants, as well as the entire payment card industry.
In addition to Card Secure Platform — Internet Promise Group has products and service innovations across 17 different product lines, organized in six market verticals.
These product lines include: Secure Mobile Payments, which are direct competitors of Apple Pay and similar systems; Mobile Advertising Ecosystems, which balance the interests of advertisers and consumers; Mobile Wireless Devices, Cybersecurity Defense Systems and Healthcare products.
Your success factors
Bankcard and payment cyber security challenges continue to plague the eCommerce and merchant industry. Card Secure Platform® (CSP) empowers merchants to feel confident that their customer’s card and bank information is never received, thus eliminating entirely the risk of data breaches and security audits.
For this platform — no card intake hardware / software at the point-of-sale is required, it works as a ‘universal’ QR code customer-merchant interface for customers to complete a sale by using the camera of their smart phone to image the QR code and wirelessly transferring to the CSP server.
Your factors differentiating and disruptive compared to the existing
By ensuring data breaches are a thing of the past; Card Secure Platform is a unique option for both online and brick & mortar merchants and their loyal customers. A few factors differentiating the product from those currently on the market include:
- CSP works as an independent system working along with Card Swipe, EMV, Apple Pay and online bankcard data entry in the same point-of-sale, using a common QR universal interface across both online and brick & mortar merchants.
- Does not require Security Audits of POS/Merchants & Systems
- ‘Plays well’ within existing infrastructure (i.e. seamlessly integrates with other platforms merchants are already familiar with and currently use)
- No sensitive information ever stored or transferred (i.e. bankcard & user ID / data) to retail merchants, service providers or customers
Your business model (how do you make money?)
By taking a share of the fees that the merchant pays their traditional merchant servicer
A few words about your competitors
There are multiple players in the mobile payment market including Apple, Google and others using NFC enabled point of sale terminals. However, many of these can be and costly to use for merchants and present challenges for both the cardholder and the merchant.
