How Did Fortnite Become The Most Popular Game of All Time

Fortnite might be the most popular game around right now, but it wasn’t always like that. There was even a time when people were confused if it was planned to be released or not. From the game’s release to where it is today, the journey is one of the most enthralling and uproaring stories that can be seen in this industry.

If you want a Fortnite boosting service, Eldorado offers a lot of options. Moreover, whether you’re playing on PC, XBOX, or Playstation, this service has got you covered.

The Background

The 100-player game with last man style standing format is loved by everyone from teenagers to adults. It is roughly being played by over 125 million people all around the World. This battle-royale-style game features animated characters and is very easy to master.

It was first released in September 2017. This game features 10 players parachuted onto an island where they have to fight with each other to survive. They can also build forts and collect weapons for their support. Overall, this game is quite engaging and it’s hard to not think about it all the time. Fortnite definitely has everyone hooked to it.

Now let us look back at some of the most vital moments of this game’s journey that were responsible to make it as big as it currently is.

Fortnite – How the hype began?

Fortnite was first revealed in 2011 at the Spike Video Game Awards and was proposed as a base-building game that makes you build forts, gather resources, and then fight the incoming swarm of enemies.

Epic Games went silent after the first reveal for a good two years. There was no detail about the game but a few statements from here and there over the span of two years.

Finally, in 2014, we got to see the official trailer of the game that provided some important information that we did not know about before. Epic Games also released the information that they would be releasing a free-to-play model once Fortnite is released.

In September 2017, Fortnite got released for PlayStation, PC, Xbox One, and Mac in its early access form. It soon took the community by storm once it was released. Many factors contributed to its early success including it being free to download and play, being available on various platforms, and an engaging theme.

It also played a psychology trick on its users by introducing “Microtransaction”. The game is free to play, however, it charges a few bucks for some outfits, dances, weapons, and missions. It was only natural for the gamers to go haywire when they saw an attractive outfit or a flashy weapon and rushed to buy them before they ran out.

Apart from using psychology, Fortnite also introduces new seasons that have different themes and landscapes and a few changes into the main gameplay which makes it all the more engaging and less redundant.

The aesthetic of Fortnite is amazing and has succeeded in reeling in people of every age group. Everybody and anybody can play it because of its easy access which has also contributed a lot to its success.

The Success of Fortnite

The success of Fortnite relies solely on the creative business model and human psychology that gathers masses, appeals them, and keeps them coming back for more. It is estimated to be worth 5-8 billion dollars today which is quite impressive. Epic Games have achieved something really special and made Fortnite stand tall with its competitors.

The journey of Fortnight from being unknown to one of the most recognizable and most played games on this planet has been an interesting one. The Battle-Royale game has everyone hooked to it ever since its release.

Conclusion

Epic Games have done a great job creating such a masterpiece that has made a dominant name in the gaming industry. The success of Fortnite is fascinating and we don’t see it disappearing anytime soon.
