How to Restore Deleted Data from Android Phones without Backup

Phone data is critical to us. We can replace the devices we use but not our data. We’ve been using CDs, USBs, and hard drives to save data before. With the advent of technology, we’ve come across cloud storage. Storages that we can access from anywhere and any number of times. All operating systems have data clouds that one can use to save pictures, videos, contacts, files, documents, text messages, call logs, and so on. So, to store data, applications like WhatsApp have their storage. Google apps also have cloud support that Google accounts can access on as many devices as they want.

How to recover data on Android devices?

It’s a disaster to lose phone data. One must back up regularly and restore when switching to a new device. However, your phone might break or you may delete something accidentally.   4. All backed-up files will show. Now choose the file you want to restore.

Method 2. Recover lost data from Google Drive:

The other way to get your lost data is from Google Drive. One can store files, contacts, photos, and videos on Google cloud. To backup, follow these steps to access it:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Find Google and tap it.
  3. Once in, tap on Backup.
  4. You will see Backup Now. If you enable it, your android data will start backing up in your linked Google account.
  5. Also, select ‘Automatic Restore’.

Now, to access your backed-up data, follow these steps:

  1. Upon setup of any android device, enter your Google account that has your backup.
  2. Then, you will see files from your other android device.
  3. Select the file and tap Restore.

If both of these backups aren’t helpful, let’s move to the next section where I have another way to access your lost data.

What if you have no Local backup and Google backup?

Wait till the process is completed. You will see ‘Recovery Completed’. You have successfully retrieved your lost data.
